While people focus on the various vital and more controversial issues and policies, and the personalities involved, there is one veteran lawmaker who persists on making personal sacrifices to serve his constituents and the country. Despite his frail physique, Sorsogon Rep. Salvador Escudero III makes sure he attends all important plenary sessions even on a wheelchair. Speaker Feliciano Belmonte, Jr. himself could not but marvel at Escudero's great dedication and appetite to serve his people. To this day he is among those who rarely absent himself from sessions and committee hearings.
