Amid the 27th anniversary celebrations of the world's icon of social and political revolutions -- the historic and bloodless 1986 EDSA People Power Revolt -- held Monday, February 25, President Benigno Aquino III signs into law the Human Rights Victims Reparation and Recognition Act of 2013 at the EDSA People Power Monument. It was witnessed by Speaker Feliciano Belmonte, Jr., House Deputy Speaker Erin Taņada, House Majority Leader Neptali Gonzales II, Rep. Edcel Lagman, Rep. Neri Colmenares, Rep. David Kho, Rep. Rene Relampagos, Rep. Emi Calixto-Rubiano and Commission on Human Rights Chairperson Etta Rosales. Other major players in the historic EDSA revolt who came to add color to the celebrations included former President Fidel Ramos and former Senator Agapito Butz Aquino, among others.
