PARLIAMENTARY TIES

A visiting delegation from the Kenya National Assembly headed by Speaker Kenneth Marende, EGH, MP had consultations with Leaders of the House of Representatives led by Speaker Felciano Belmonte, Jr., who hosted a luncheon for the Kenyan parliament members after their meeting with the various House Secretariat officials headed by Secretary General Marilyn Barua-Yap. The delegation was warmly received in plenary by Deputy Speaker Raul Daza, among others, during a break in sessions last February 6th. The visiting delegation was also given a briefing on the workings of Congress and its priorities by Secretariat officials that included Deputy Secretary General for Operations Artemio Adasa, Jr., Deputy Secretary General for Committee Affairs Atty. Arlene Dada-Arnaldo and acting Director General for Congressional Policy and Budget Research Dr. Romulo Emmanuel Miral.
