Speaker Feliciano Belmonte, Jr. led members of the House of Representatives in presenting to Mr. Jonathan Hanh Nguyen (5th from right) House Resolution No. 256 recognizing his contributions in strengthening Philippine-Vietnam relations. The honoree, a businessman of Vietnamese descent and married to a Filipino, is currently General Director of IMEX Pan-Pacific Co. Ltd. and a former representative of Philippines Air Lines in charge of IndoChina, was being cited by Congress for his personal efforts that helped, among others, the establishment of direct air travel, trade and diplomatic relations between the two nations. He is shown receiving the citation in the presence of his immediate family during a break in plenary in his honor.
