Women legislators are at the forefront of the national celebration of Women's Month focusing on the theme "Women Weathering Climate Change: Governance and Accountability." Lady-lawmaker Susan Yap, vice chairman of the host Committee on Women, speaks before officials and employees of the House of Representatives during Monday's flag-raising ceremony, stressing the vital role of women in the global effort to arrest climate change. Rep. Yap and Reps. Luz Ilagan, Ma. Angelica Amante-Matba (Chairperson Committee on Women and Gender Equality) and Gabriel Luis Quisumbing also graced the morning program with the message - change must start with discipline in the family, and women must start it at home teaching simple things like proper garbage disposal. The morning audience likewise got a dose of refreshing musical numbers from Ms. Myra Tuazon with the participation of Danny Nobles and Rene Viray, and Sharmaine Santiago (a talent from GMA TV7), and the talented Ramon Magsaysay High School Choir.
