After eliciting 188 signatures, Speaker Feliciano Belmonte, Jr., Majority Leader Neptali Gonzales II and Justice Committee Chairman Niel Tupas, Jr. show media the documents detailing the eight-point Articles of Impeachment against Supreme Court Chief Justice Renato Corona following a majority coalition caucus before Monday's plenary session. The Constitution, among other provisions on impeachment, states that with one-third or more of all the members of the House of Representatives endorsing an impeachment complaint, the same could be transmitted directly to the Senate for impeachment trial. The House prosecution panel, presumably to be headed by the chairman of the Committee on Justice, will be composed of eleven members. Also shown above are Reps. Teddy Casiño, Antonio Tinio, Reynaldo Umali, Ben Evardone and some leaders of civil society organizations.
