Officers of the Congressional Spouses Foundation Inc. on Thursday opened the CSFI's Kabuhayan 2018 National Livelihood Trade Fair,which is being held from November 8 to 11, 2018 at the Megatrade Hall 1, 5th level, SM Megamall, Mandaluyong City. About 100 booths are participating in the trade fair which showcases the best Philippine products from around the country. The proceeds from the fundraising event will be donated to the WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature Philippines). The funds will assist the tuna fishermen in the Mindoro Strait and Lagonoy Gulf whose boats are in dire need of repair or replacement by new fishing vessels after being damaged during recent monsoon storms. Assisting CSFI President and Chairperson Luli Arroyo during the ribbon cutting ceremony marking the opening of the trade fair are (L-R) Reps. Cristina "Chiqui" Roa-Puno (1st District, Antipolo City) and Lucy Torres-Gomez (4th District, Leyte), Tourism Secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat, Senators Loren Legarda and Cynthia Villar, Elvira "Tootsy" Angara, Malabon City Vice Mayor Jeannie Sandoval, and former Quezon Rep. Aleta Suarez. Meanwhile, the panel of judges for the best booth competition is composed of Torres-Gomez, Angara and Alicia Sy. Also in photo are Arroyo and movie actor Gabby Concepcion, who together with Roa-Puno, emceed the trade fair opening program. Former President and now Speaker Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, in a taped video message, lauded the CSFI for working hard to put up the trade fair in support of the country's products and entrepreneurs. | Rowena B.
