PUBLIC RELATIONS AND INFORMATION BUREAU
The Public Relations and Information Bureau (PRIB) is responsible for the formulation, implementation and management of a sound and unified public relations program that will strengthen the image of the House of Representatives as a primal constitutional body.
To carry out the mandate of the Department, it has two service offices:
- Media Affairs Service. Responsible for media relations, it is also a news bureau which gathers news and regularly releases news products for print and broadcast in the form of photographs, video footages and written text. It administers the Media Center, the workplace of House-assigned reporters.
- Institutional Information Materials Production Service. Produces publications to enhance public knowledge about the House as an institution of government, including the Official Directory, the annual House accomplishment report, the Konggreso ng Bayan quarterly newsletter, the Abstracts of Bills Passed and other print and non-print information materials.
Handles programs to increase opportunities for public interface with the institution, including radio/television programs, documentaries, conferences, workshops, special events, and exhibits. It maintains and constantly updates an information databank and attends to queries from the public about the institution, its offices and Members.
